What do I think a garden should be?

Beautiful and Usable.  A Garden that reflects your personal taste and aspirations, and fulfills your functional needs. Your garden should be a real extension of your home, an attractive and practical space where architecture meets nature. 

With a preference for natural materials and bold but simple hardlandscaping, my garden designs work with the location and the character of the house and are developed in collaboration with my clients.

I have been practising Garden Design in Reading, Berkshire, for five years.  Most of my clients are in Berkshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire but I will consider travelling further afield to deliver my garden design services.

My Background:
 
I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Residential Landscape Design from the Oxford College of Garden Design, 'widely regarded as one of the top design courses in the world'.
 
 
From the more distant past I have a BA Hons degree in Philosophy, and an MSc in Computer Science.  I worked in the IT industry for 20 years before becoming a Garden Designer.
