The complete Garden Design service starts with a consultation to establish the brief and progresses through the development of the garden design concept to the appointment of a landscaper and finally the implementation of the detailed garden design plans.

Other garden design services I can supply are:

planting design only: I will design a scheme for your existing planting beds.

plant maintenance calendar: what to do when, tailored to the plants in your scheme.

plant supply and setting-out: I will supply the plants from reputable nurseries and position them prior to planting.

My garden design fees are based on a percentage of the expected implementation cost. The small fee for the consultation is deducted from the subsequent garden design fee. Site visits are charged by the half-hour.

Consultation: A meeting to discuss your requirements, assess the site and begin to develop the brief. Following this I will put our discussion in writing with some initial ideas for a new garden design concept and a quotation for my garden design services.

Garden Design Concept: proposes a solution for your garden, using hand-drawn plans and drawings in colour to help you visualise the completed garden. If you don't like it, I will change it.

Detailed Garden Design: plans and construction drawings detailing setting-out, drainage, irrigation and structures such as timberwork and steps. These drawings enable a landscaper to implement the garden design. If required I can also provide a written specification.

Planting Design: plants will dress, colour and soften the garden design. Detailed planting plans show the species, variety, quantity and position of each plant. A Plant Schedule gives the quantity required for each plant.

Contractor Liaison: If required, I will find a Landscaper to implement the garden design and will visit the site during construction in order to field any queries.
